Curriculum & Training Specialist
FIS is seeking a strategic and creative Curriculum and Training Specialist to lead the design, improvement, and quality assurance of all curriculum and content across the Training and Capacity Building (TCB) team. This role reports to the Director of Training and Capacity Building and serves as the primary architect of FIS’s training materials, learning frameworks, and facilitation tools for schools, districts, community-based organizations, and families.
The ideal candidate is passionate about educational equity and family engagement, brings a deep understanding of adult learning and instructional design, and has experience crafting culturally responsive materials that drive impact. This role is ideal for a mid-career professional looking to lead curriculum development at a mission-driven, equity-centered organization.
Compensation: The hourly range for the Curriculum and Training Specialist is nonexempt, with an annual salary of $70,000-$80,000, commensurate with experience.

Project Coordinator
FIS seeks a highly organized and collaborative Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of high-quality training and technical assistance across our client and partner network.
Reporting to the Director of Training and Capacity Building, this position plays a crucial role in managing our expanding team of trainers, tracking deliverables, and ensuring the seamless implementation of projects across multiple platforms.
The Coordinator will work closely with both internal staff and external partners to ensure alignment, quality, and consistency in FIS’s training execution. This is an ideal role for someone with project coordination experience, strong people and communication skills, and a passion for educational equity.
Compensation: The salary for the Project Coordinator is nonexempt, ranging from $55,000-$60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Community Organizer
The Community Organizer will be vital in advancing campaigns led by Families In Schools, such as Read LA!, a campaign ensuring all children in Los Angeles can read and thrive. This role focuses on mobilizing community members and families to advocate for policies and programs to close equity gaps in students’ academic success. The community organizer will engage parents and communities in collective action, drive grassroots efforts, and work to identify and cultivate local leaders. The ideal candidate will have a community-organizing background and a deep commitment to family engagement and educational equity.
This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Senior Campaign Director.
Compensation: The salary for the Community Organizer is nonexempt, ranging from $55,000-$60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
