READY, SET, READ!

We Are Challenging Children and Young Adults to Read a MILLION ++ Words

In support of the learning that is now taking place in homes, Families In Schools is challenging students from cradle to high school to read MILLION ++ Words from April 6, 2020 – June 8, 2020.

To take part in this challenge, Families In Schools is asking families to join via the Reading & Compassion Challenge Facebook Page. Families In Schools will have a weekly challenge for students, and instructions on how to fill out their reading logs.

2 WAYS TO WIN PRIZES

1. Every week, Families In Schools will provide a weekly literacy challenge. Every time a student’s parent turns in a challenge they will be entered into a raffle to win a $10 gift card. All students that participate in the raffle will get a certificate. Scroll down to see the weekly literacy challenges.

2. Students will be required to keep a reading log that must be submitted on a weekly basis. The students that read the most words in the following categories will be eligible to win the grand prize for their selected grade level. There will only be one grand prize per category.
