Gayle Miller

Gayle Miller was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Earnest Roy Grant and Jane Beatson. Gayle was the retired President of Anne Klein II and ultimately led that company to a highly successful and profitable $150 million dollar business.

Gayle was deeply spiritual and a devout Christian. She lived her faith through her volunteerism and involvement in the community. She was active in numerous nonprofits, with a particular focus on serving those the most in need in our society.

For the last twenty years of her life, Gayle dedicated her time, resources and intellectual leadership to improving public schools for the most undeserved students across Los Angeles. She served as a board member of the Los Angeles Annenberg Metropolitan Project, Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, and was a founding member of Families In Schools.

Known for her warmth, generosity and attentive listening, Gayle was much beloved by FIS board members, staff, parents and the communities which she served.
