You and your leadership, community engagement staff and parent coordinators are cordially invited to Alliance 2019, a one-day family engagement summit where featured keynote speaker Karen L. Mapp, Ed.D, senior lecturer on education at Harvard Graduate School of Education will be inspiring us to think deeply about the importance of building authentic partnerships with families and communities for student success.
Over the past twenty years, Mapp’s research and practice focus has been on the cultivation of partnerships among families, community members and educators that support student achievement and school improvement. She has served as a consultant on family engagement in the U.S. Department of Education from 2011-2013, and is the author and co-author of several articles and books about the role of family and community members in the work of student achievement.
THE ONLY SUMMIT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FOCUSED ON PARENT ENGAGEMENT
Now in its seventh year, the Alliance Summit is a convening of community, education, business and philanthropic leaders to celebrate parents and strengthen partnerships for greater student and school success. In 2018, over 83% of participants found the content of the summit relevant and satisfying.
THE ALLIANCE SUMMIT CREATES A SPACE WHERE PARTICIPANTS CAN:
