GOT College! (Going On To College!) is the flagship program of Families IN Schools efforts to promote college knowledge and career planning. Since 2000, GOT College! has served over 15,800 students and parents and 370 teachers and school staff members in 30 schools. GOT College! has hosted 3,000 parents and their children in one of 23 College and Career Conferences in the last ten years. For most participants, it is the first visit to a college campus in their lives. Parents report that being on a college campus is the most powerful motivator in helping them view college as a realistic and obtainable goal for their children.
