Flor Perez serves as the First 5 LA School Readiness Initiative Program Manager with Families In Schools.  Ms. Perez has an extensive background in the coordination and development of programs for children and their families in the areas of academic programming, family support, and community building.

Prior to joining FIS, Ms. Perez worked as a Clinical Classroom Consultant with the Foundations of Learning project in Chicago, where she provided technical assistance to early childhood educators on strategies to promote the socio-emotional development of young learners.

Ms. Perez holds a bachelor’s degree in Raza Studies from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago.
