Ms. Perez currently supports the coordination of the Community Engagement and Advocacy projects. While at FIS, she has worked as an education advocate by supporting the promotion of parental involvement and college access, working with parents, students, teachers and other community members.
Prior to joining the FIS team, she worked as a Student College Advisor for a local non-profit organization. Ms. Perez also interned for former State Senator and current Los Angeles City Councilmember, Richard Alarcón, where she provided support during the implementation of community-based higher education access campaigns.
Ms. Perez is a proud alumnus of Sylmar High School and the American Jewish University, where she earned her B.A. in U.S. History & Public Policy with a minor in Psychology in 2007. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Ms. Perez is also a former CORO Health Leadership Program Fellow and an active member of the Comision Femenil of the San Fernando Valley. |
