Fatima Capinpin serves as a Program Associate for FIS’ Early Education and Family Literacy programs. Prior to joining FIS as a staff member, Fatima served as the Public Allies Los Angeles fellow at Families In Schools, supporting the Community Engagement and Advocacy Division and the organization’s communication efforts.

While attending the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Fatima worked with various student organizations to advocate for college access for underrepresented youth. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnic Studies, Fatima worked as a UCDC intern at the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum and as a Leadership In Action (LIA) intern at Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP).
