Cyreeta Sharp is a Program Manager in the College Awareness and Preparation department of Families in Schools and oversees several program initiatives at the Middle School level.  These programs are tailored to create a college-going culture for students, teachers and parents and encourage the community at large to be an active advocate for students’ pathways to college.  As a first-generation college graduate, Mrs. Sharp believes that education is a crucial tool in a person’s success.  Mrs. Sharp began her educational advocacy work as an Admissions Counselor for La Salle University.  As a counselor she traveled throughout the east coast territory of the U.S., educating students on the limitless opportunities within higher education.  After moving to Los Angeles in 2003, Mrs. Sharp continued her work in Admissions at The LA Film School and The LA Recording School.  Prior to Families in Schools, she worked as Manager of Special Projects for MLA Partner Schools where she assisted with key programs, both at West Adams and Manual Arts High Schools.  Mrs. Sharp obtained her B.A. in Communications and M.A. in Professional Communications from La Salle University.  She is looking forward to one day joining the USC Trojan family to obtain her Doctorate.
