Blueprints for Parents

Blueprints for Parents is a 12-hour program that encourages parents to explore key family values that help their children become resilient to negative influences which often serve as barriers to academic achievement and social and emotional development.

Through a variety of hands-on learning activities and children’s literature, parents explore the core values of responsibility, respect, caring, trust, honesty, and courage.  The program was developed by the Go Along Side Foundation and has been implemented in partnership with Families In Schools in various schools and organzaitions for the past 8 years.  FIS trains schools or agencies to implement the program or provides the direct service to parents.
