Cecilia Gonzalez is the program coordinator for the College Awareness & Preparation Programs of Families In Schools, where she assists in promoting the college-going culture for teachers and parents. She has always had strong interests in college advocacy and community affairs. Previously she worked as a news and entertainment reporter at a local Spanish television station. She graduated from UCLA obtaining a B.A. in Chicano/a Studies and a B.A. in Spanish. While attending UCLA, she worked as a college advisor at high schools under Early Academic Outreach Program and as a tutor under BruinCorps. She plans to pursue a Masters Degree in Education.
