Going on to College for elementary schools focuses on the need to encourage students to believe that college is a possibility for them and to realize that for the college dream to become a reality, action is needed.

• Gang Reduction Program (GRP)
  The Gang Reduction Program was created through a federal grant received through the US Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Through the support of the Gang Reduction Program, Families In Schools will offer Going on to College as a primary prevention program in three elementary schools within Boyle Heights. The activities will include educational and recreational programs for families and youth residing and attending public schools in Boyle Heights.
