KHEIR Center

Launching her career as a notable educator, Ms. Pak transitioned to the corporate sector in the field of marketing. With a natural knack for strategic planning, coupled with her drive, she exceeded many standards and expectations. She was quickly promoted up the ranks with progressive responsibilities and authority, managing and generating a significant portion of several Fortune 500 companies’ revenue and supervising up to 70 staff members. Her balanced approach to private and public sectors, along with a comprehensive understanding of P/L and accountability has also allowed her to excel in the consulting arena. As a management consultant, she shared her expertise on education reform, training, grant writing, curriculum design, and marketing development with schools and publishers in the US and abroad. Ms. Pak’s achievements include authoring winning grants that secured over $84 million of federal and state funds for two school districts in California.  In November 2004, Ms. Pak joined KHEIR (Korean Health Education Information Research) Center as its Chief Executive Officer.  There, she is responsible for managing its 60+ full time staff to provide quality health and human services to the indigent and the underserved population in the Koreatown/ Wilshire Center area.

Ms. Pak is a dedicated volunteer and advocate for her local community, as well as the Asian American community. She has worked closely with CBOs (community-based organizations) and governmental agencies in improving public school education and raising community’s awareness and involvement levels in many areas, including voter registration, health screening in inner-city schools, and increased public library service hours. Ms. Pak serves as an Advisor to the Marina del Rey Public Library; Finance Chair of the City of LA’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Committee; and member of the Supervisor Don Knabe’s International Business Advisory Board as well as the LA County Assessor’s Advisory Board.

Ms. Pak resides in Playa del Rey with her husband Christopher and children Colin and Gavin. They are active members of a local parish at St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
