BE AN ADVOCATE – FIS envisions a public education system where students have all the opportunities and resources necessary to succeed in school and in life. We seek a workforce prepared for lifelong learning and active engagement in the civic life of our society.  Together, we can make this vision become  a reality for our children.

We are looking for individuals interested in supporting advocacy efforts in the following areas:

  1. Increasing high quality learning environments
  2. Expanding options for parents to successfully advocate for their children
  3. Helping with local and state legislative actions.
  4. Strengthening the LAUSD Public School Choice Process.
  5. Helping to organize/mobilize parents.
  6. Leveraging resources to support parent engagement advocacy efforts.
